Chevy Colorado vs Honda Ridgeline vs Nissan Frontier: Fight!

By  |

The Honda Ridgeline attracted a lot of attention but it has to compete with the likes of the Chevy Colorado and the Nissan Frontier. So the fight is on, but which comes out the leader?

If you look into the past of the Honda Ridgeline you will see that it has been the worst-selling truck in the US over the past half a decade. However with the 2017 model came a redesign and new hope.

During 2015 Honda sold only 13, 389 units of the Ridgeline; however the new Ridgeline does offer better specs. It has the V6 3.5 litre engine with six speed automatic gearing and the all-wheel drive that is optional, which comes with the i-VTM4 terrain management. It offers the new uni-body crossover but cat it match the competition?

The Honda Ridgeline offers 280 horses while the Nissan Frontier offers 261 horses and the Toyota Tacoma 278 horses. So for horse power at least the Ridgeline does seem to be in front.

The Honda Ridgeline loses out to the Chevrolet Colorado for towing as the latter is able to two 7,000lbs and the former only 5,000lbs.

The Honda Ridgeline does offer the widest loading floor and it comes with the dual action tailgate and plenty of storage space in the trunk.

It also packs in plenty of features such as rear camera, LaneWatch advanced camera and support Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The Nissan Frontier is at the back of the pack for features.

So the Honda Ridgeline does look to be pretty good when you first check it out and it can stand up to, if not beat, the Chevrolet Colorado and the Nissan Frontier.
