Chevrolet Silverado Is Hot Water, GM Accuse Of Cheating

By  |

You would think that after what happened to Volkswagen, that would be the end of the diesel emission cheating issue but GM has now been accused of cheating as well.

Reports are claiming that GM has tampered with hundreds of thousands of diesel trucks with not one but three defeat devices to make it seems like their trucks meet the emission standards.

It is said that the trucks actually produced two to five times more NOx pollutants than the allowed amount which makes the diesel worst than the gasoline models. The models that are listed in the lawsuit includes the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra.

So far, GM response was that the claims are baseless but the accusation alone was enough to affect the shares of GM. GM is already paying for their ignition switched issue which caused more than 100 death.
