Chevrolet Camaro Takes on Ford Mustang: The Battle Never Ends

By  |

The battle between the Chevrolet Camaro and the Ford Mustang is one that is never ending. It is also one that people never seem to get tired of seeing and you do have to wonder if we will ever find out which of these two greats is the winner.

Here we are making a comparison between the 2015 Ford Mustang and the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro, so maybe the more refreshed and news Camaro is going to come out ahead?

So how does the 2015 Ford Mustang match up to the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro?

The Camaro have three engine choices and two of them beat those of the Ford Mustang. The 2.0 litre of the Camaro offers 275 horses, while the 2.3 litre turbocharged of the Ford Mustang has 310 horses. If you are taking the engines into account then it may be the Camaro you go for.

The Mustang wins for brakes and suspension. However, this is only due to the fact that we are unsure how well those on the Camaro will do as it hasn’t launched yet. The Ford Mustang comes out ahead here on principal only as their suspension have given them the title of the best handling performance during the 50s years.

The cabin of the Chevrolet Camaro is also crowded in comparison to that of the Ford Mustang. The Camaro seems to be right at home in a Transformer movie, while the Mustang would be happier in a Fast and Furious movie.

The Chevrolet Camaro takes the advantage for weight. This is due to the fact that the vehicle has lost 200 pounds.

So this time around it is the Chevrolet Camaro that has taken the win, but then perhaps you believe that the Ford Mustang comes out ahead.

Camaro is missing one thing that makes the Mustang better and that is nostalgia. The camaro is just a “leave and make a comeback” over and over again car. Mustang never left us. It’s a car that is universally understood. If aliens came to earth we wouldn’t show them a Camaro, it would be the Mustang. It appeals more to the child within us. That’s why we don’t care if Camaro is 200 lbs lighter or in a cool movie or faster or slower or anything. The mustang has heritage. It has history. It’s “the” car. So in my opinion, no comparison, I will take the Mustang every damn day of the week.
