Cadillac CTS-V & ATS-V: End Of The Road

By  |

It looks like Cadillac is ready for some change as they announce their plans for the V-Series performance sub-brand.

According to Cadillac, both the Cadillac ATS-V coupe and convertible as well as the CTS-V sedan will be heading out the door. They will also be working on the new CT6-V sedan which will be arriving in 2019 with plans to offer more high -performance variants in the future.

Cadillac also added that two new sedans will be coming to sit below the GT6 in their lineup. No additional details were released about these sedans. As for the CT6-V model, it will be coming in with the new V8 engine from Cadillac, the 4.2-liter twin turbo engine that will deliver about 550hp and 627 lb-ft of torque. The engine will most likely be mated to the new 10-speed automatic transmission.

While most automakers seem to be moving away from sedan models, it looks like Cadillac is still not ready to give up on the sedans yet.
