BMW Z4 Won’t Be A Supra Clone

We know that BMW will be working with Toyota to come out with the next Toyota Supra and BMW Z4 model, this has led many to speculate that the new BMW Z4 might come in looking like the Toyota Supra but according to BMW, that is not going to happen.

In an interview with BMW Group Australia’s Chief executive, both the design and driving characteristics of the BMW Z4 will set it apart from the Toyota Supra. BMW assures fans that the design of the Z4 will be unique to the model.

We got a glimpse of what is to come when BMW showed off the concept a few months ago and while we do understand that the production model might not look the same, new spy shots did suggest that BMW will be keeping a few key design elements of the concept around like the headlights and taillights.

Although the Z4 will come riding on the same SUpra platform, BMW also assures fans that the drive and handling will be very different as well. Powering the BMW Z4 is a 2.0 liter four cylinder engine that will be offering about 194hp and 236lb ft of torque.
