BMW Pickup Truck Not Going To Happen

By  |

With everybody now looking to off SUVs and trucks of their own, there have been rumors that BMW might be working on a pickup truck of their own especially after Mercedes brought out the X-Class but it looks like those looking forward to seeing it can give up now.

According to BMW’s development, chief and board member Klaus Frolich confirmed that they are not working on a pickup truck. He added that there is no viable business case for them to actually come out with a luxury pickup truck.

He thinks that the market segment would be too small for them as their truck would come with a much higher price tag and that there are not that many people looking for a premium truck to justify so many contenders.

He also addresses the rumors about BMW looking to partner with Toyota to come out with a truck but he squashes that down by saying that BMW won’t do badge engineering.
