BMW M5 Competition Package Could Not Wait Another Week

By  |

BMW was supposed to unveil their new Competition Package for the BMW M5 next week but information about the new package was leaked before BMW could officially announce it.

According to a member of the Bimmerpost online forum, he or she already has one on order and that BMW Australia has already given the member all the information needed.

The member reveals that the new Competition Package will offer 25hp more than the standard M5 model and that it will allow the vehicle to go from 0-60mph in 3.3 seconds with a top speed of 190mph. Previous reports by Motor 1 also suggested that the package would add 37lb ft of torque to the vehicle.

The Bimmerpost member added that carbon ceramic brakes will not be part of the package. It will also be getting a Sport Exhaust and firmer suspension. No price was leaked.

Of course, at this point, nobody knows if this leak is real or not so it would be best to take it with a pinch of salt for now.
