Auxo Shows You What An iPhone 5 Untethered Jailbreak Is Capable Of

There are many owners of the Apple iPhone 5 who are waiting for the release of the untethered iOS 6 jailbreak. iOS may be a popular choice but many like to tweak the OS, following the jailbreak, which then means that they can install apps and features, which Apple otherwise don’t allow. One of the most wanted of these seems to be the Auxo app switcher.

Auxo app awaits iPhone 5 with iOS 6 untethered jailbreak

The Auxo app switcher was an idea that began in October as a concept from a designer with the name of Sentry.

Since then he has worked with developers to bring it to the masses and iDownloadBlog got their hands on the final build of the app, before its release.

The app improves on the stock app switcher that is in iOS. It provides users with a card view of recent apps, this is in comparison to the stock app, which just shows the app that is running.

Auxo means apps can be pulled from the switcher just by a simple swipe down. More than one app can be stopped at the same time if you use two of more fingers when swiping. This is a lot better than with the stock app in iOS which means users have to hold down if they want to remove an app from the switcher.

If you want to remove all of the apps from the switcher, you can do so with a simple tap and hold on any app that is running. This will bring up a menu, which offers you the choice of killing all apps that are running with just one press. The app comes with some smart features. If you want to turn off an app that is playing music, it will ask you if this is what you really want to do. This is something that hasn’t been featured in the standard app switcher.

The music controls have been redesigned and now they look like all other aspects of iOS 6. They also provide information on the artists name and the title of the track playing, there is also album art.

There are two rows of toggles on the final page and this works in much the same way as NCSettings, or SBSettings, allowing users to turn on or off features which include Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

The app switcher is not cluttered and it does add extra functionality, this goes towards it being in the top 10 jailbreaking tweaks. Auxo will be coming to Cydia very soon, however at the moment the app only works with iOS 6. So we’re guessing a lot of users can’t wait to get their hands on this after a public release of the iOS 6 untethered jailbreak.

The price has not been set, but it is said to be very reasonable.
