We thought that the whole Volkswagen cheating scandal was behind us but Germany has now come out to say that two Audi models might have cheated in their emission test as well.

According to the reported, Germany is now asking Audi to recall their Audi A7 and Audi A8 as it is believed that these models were emitting two times more nitrogen oxides than the legal limit.

The ministry has given Audi until the 12th of June to come out with a technical fix for the vehicle. A total of 24,000 units will be affected by the recall. Volkswagen has not commented on the issue yet but Audi has already started issuing recall notes.

Of all the models that were affected, half of those models were sold in Germany. Affected models will be those built between 2009 to 2013. Matthias Mueller, Volkswagen’s Chief Executive has been called to Berlin.
