Assassin’s Creed Skips 2016 Release?

AC fans, you’ll have to rejoice in 2017 as it’s not going to be released this year, according to a developer’s post on 4chan for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed. So, guess we wouldn’t be seeing any during the E3 this year as well.

It’s most likely going to be released in 2017, and perhaps the most interesting highlight would be that it’s going to be based in Egypt. You can check out the statement released by the supposed dev here:

“Egypt. There won’t be an AC in 2016. You may screencap this and refer to it when nothing is shown in E3 2016. You’ll have to wait until 2017 for it. The reason: It will be a complete revamp of the series. The game is going for a Witcher feel, with player progression, freeform combat system. Horse is back, and boats too. It’s made by the Black Flag team. You may leave any question you want answered.”

While you may think that 4chan’s infamous for inaccuracy of rumours, this one seems rather believable out of the rest. Well, let’s just hope that it’ll arrive as soon as possible, and in the meantime, we’ll just take this supposed one year delay with a grain of salt.
