Alfa Romeo Giulia & Stelvio: Hotness Can Be An Idea

By  |

Alfa Romeo probably wanted the Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio to be one of the hottest vehicles on the road but this is definitely not the “hot ” they were expecting.

The Alfa Romeo Stelvio are both powered by a twin-turbocharged engine that delivers about 500hp. With so much power, it was important that the cooling system is at its optimum at all times.

According to NHTSA, the coolant hose was reported to be leaking causing the engine to overheat and then stall. It was added that is was caused by insufficient webbing. It was added that the issue will affect about 674 vehicles in the US.

Those affected will need to bring their vehicle to their local dealers to have the hose replaced.

Alfa Romeo will also have to recall the Stelvio and Giulia that were fitted with the 2.0-liter engine. It was reported that the engine misfiring is causing the catalytic converter to overheat which could lead to a fire. This will affect about 37,228 units of Stelvio and Giulia.
