Alfa Romeo Baby SUV Will Borrow From Giorgio

By  |

Since it does not look like the SUV trend is going to slow down anytime soon, Alfa Romeo is not going to hold back as they plan to release a new baby SUV that will be coming in to sit below the Stelvio and will be competing with models like the BMW X2 and Audi Q3.

According to Auto Express, the Alfa Romeo SUV could be riding on the shrink down version of the Giorgio platform. That means the smaller SUV will be coming in as a rear wheel drive model although the all-wheel-drive option will most likely be offered as an option.

There is not a whole lot of details yet but it was reported that the vehicle will come with an electrified powertrain that will be offered with a Level 3 autonomous technology. It will be years before we actually see the SUV as we are only expected it in 2020.
