Porsche 911 fans have been begging Porsche to offer their vehicle with a manual transmission option and it looks like Porsche is finally giving in as the automaker announced that the 992 will be fitted with a seven-speed manual trnasmission.
For now, the manual transmission will be offered on the Carrera S, Carrera S Cabriolet, Carrera 4S, and Carrera 4S Cabriolet while things are still unclear for the base Carrera, Carrera Cabriolet and Carrera 4 model.
While msot people woudl think that getting the Carrera S with the eiht speed PDK automatic transmission or the manaul transmission would affect the price. Both moldes are actually being offered at the same $114,650 including the destination charge.
According to Porsche, they choose to offer the Sport Chrone package as standard on the manaul model which is why both options will now have the same price tag. The manaul transmission option is available to order now and will be arriving in the Spring of next year.
