2020 Hyundai Ioniq EV: How Far Will It Go?

By  |

Now that Hyundai has the Hyundai Kona, their first full EV model, what is going to happen to the Hyundai Ioniq?

Well, according to Inside EVs, while the Kona will be Hyundai’s EV star now, they will still continue to work on the Ioniq. It was added that the 2020 model will be offering more range when it arrives although it still won’t go as far as the Kona.

The current Hyundai Ioniq Electric model has an electric range of 124miles while their new Kona will be able to offer about 258miles of range. It is estimated that the new Ioniq would be able to offer about 150miles or more when it arrives to match what their rival, the Nissan Leaf is offering.

It will also be interesting to see if the 2020 Hyundai Ioniq will have more power output to offer when it arrives since the 118hp that it is offering right now is a bit low compared to their competitors.
