2020 Ford Mustang GT: Forget Camaro, It’s Porsche Next In Sight

By  |

The Ford Mustang is garnering record sales as of mid-2015 and while there was early success of the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro the numbers still left Ford ahead.

So what can we make of news that the next Ford Mustang is supposedly going to be brought to production two years before the previous scheduled release date in 2022? If word on the street serves true, it could be that the next pony is after rivals higher up in the food chain.

While the 2015 Ford Mustang has proven to be good both on the track and as a daily driver, it does fall short against the likes of the BMW M2 and Porsche 911 around the race track. With that said the 2020 Ford Mustang is expected to improve in its driving dynamics and possibly break the lap records set by the current model.

With that said, the Ford Mustang obviously has a price advantage so any performance improvements would without a doubt bring it to the attention of buyers looking for the bet dollar for horsepower ratio.

Of course there is no confirmation yet on whether this is anything more than a rumor so we will have to just wait and see.
