2020 Ford Explorer: What We Know Right Now
The 2020 Ford Explorer will be coming in with a few important updates and while we will still have to wait for Ford to debut the vehicle to know all the details, here are some of the details that did make it out.
Although the Ford Explorer will be offered as a new model, it will still keep a lot of its design characteristic. New spy shots of the vehicle showed that it will be getting some upgrades like LED headlights, grille, bumper and more.
The vehicle will be riding on the CD6 rear-drive architecture that will support both rear and all-wheel drive with a longitudinally mounted engine. The engine options include the 2.3-liter turbo four engine, 3.3 liter V6, 3.3 liter V6 hybrid and the 3.0 liter V6 EcoBoost engine that will be mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
No word on when Ford will be showing it off but most people believe we will be seeing it at the LA Auto Show.
