The 2020 Ford Explorer will be coming in with a long line of upgrades that includes a few major upgrades. Here is what we know so far.

According to Ford, the 2020 Ford Explorer will be a new model but looking at some of the latest spy shots, it looks like the design will not be completely new. It looks like Ford decided to keep most of the design from the current model and give it a few upgrades.

Some of the changes include the headlights which will now be an LED headlights, new grille, updated bumper and more. The Explorer will come riding on the CD6 rear-drive architecture that supports both all-wheel drive and rear-wheel driver with a longitudinally mounted engine.

Engine options include a 2.3-liter turbo four engine, 3.3 liter V6, 3.3-liter hybrid, and 3.0 liter V6 EcoBoost engine that will all come mated to a 10-speed auto transmission. Hopefully, we will learn more about the Explorer at the LA Auto Show.
