2020 Ford Bronco: Manual Transmission Confirm?

By  |

While most automakers are choosing to let go of their manual transmission, it looks like Ford is not ready to give it up yet as new reports are now suggesting that the 2020 Ford Bronco could be coming in with a manual transmission.

According to Jalopnik, Ford will be working with Getrag to come out with a seven-speed manual transmission for the Ford Bronco. It is also believed that the manual transmission will be mated to the 2.7 liters EcoBoost V6 engine.

It was added that the new manual transmission will be dubbed the MT-88 and that Ford has already sourced the MT-82 six-speed manual transmission for the Ford Mustang.

Fans of the Bronco have been waiting for Ford to bring the vehicle back for the longest them and it looks like we very close to it now. No date has been announced but we should be learning a lot more about it next year.
