2020 Audi S6 Will Take Engine Tips From RS4 & RS5?

By  |

After what Audi did to the RS5 and RS4, there were rumors saying that Audi would also be downsizing the Audi S6 and that it will most likely come with the same 2.9 liters twin-turbo V6 engine that those two models have but according to Autocar, that is far from what is happening now.

According to the reports, Audi will be fitted with Audi S6 with the 4.0 liter V8 turbocharged engine instead. The engine is said to have come from the Porsche Panamera Turbo that is offering about 542hp and 567lb ft of torque right now. The engine will most likely be detuned for Audi which means it could only offer about 493hp.

If that is the case, the Audi S6 will mostly need about 4 seconds to go from 0 – 62mph. The lighter new chassis should also help improve the fuel economy of the vehicle as well as allow it to be more agile.

The 2020 Audi S6 should be arriving next year.
