2019 Volkswagen Passat NMS: New Platform Equals More Space

By  |

Volkswagen finally took the covers off their 2019 Volkswagen Passat NMS model. Here is what the vehicle will be offering when it arrives in China.

The 2019 model will be riding on the MQB platform from Volkswagen which would allow Volkswagen to make the vehicle slightly bigger than the Euro-spec model but does keep it in mind that the wagon model will not be offered in China.

The vehicle’s design is based on the Arteon and Phideon model. It will also be fitted with LED headlights, digital instrument panel, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and more. Features like the power adjustable front seats, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, adaptive cruise control, collision warning, and Park Assist will also come as standard.

Under the hood is a 2.0-liter TSI engine that will be offered with 182hp or 217hp. The engine will be mated to a seven-speed DSG transmission. A plug-in hybrid option will also be offered in the future.
