2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Heads To Europe

By  |

Toyota showed off the Toyota RAV4 at the New York Auto Show this year and now it is time to show it off to their European fans as it was brought over to the Paris Auto Show.

The new Toyota RAV4 will be riding on the TNGA platform which will allow the vehicle to have a much lower center of gravity. The body rigidity has been increased by 57%. It will also be getting the double wishbone designed rear suspension which will help offer a better ride quality and agile handling.

Under the hood is a 2.5 liter Dynamic Force petrol engine with two electric motors that will offer about 219hp. The new engine is smaller and lighter now and has less electrical and mechanical losses. The engine will still be mated to a CVT but according to Toyota, that has been updated but they did not elaborate on what they did.

Those not looking for a hybrid will also be offered a petrol version with either a manual and automatic transmission.
