2019 Subaru Ascent Owners Will Have Their Car Destroyed

Subaru had to recall some of their 2019 Subaru Ascent after it was discovered that the robots in the assembly line had an issue.

According to the reports, the robots were supposed to add a series of spot welds on the B-pillar but did not do so due to improper programming. The welds are there to help strengthen the shell of the car where the rear doors attach which is why it is so important.

Subaru added that all models that did not get the welds will have to be destroyed and replaced. That means the recalled models will be destroyed and the owners will be given new models. Luckily, Subaru had only delivered 9 units of the 2019 Subaru Ascent so far with the remaining 283units still sitting on the dealer lot or in transit.

Those affected will be models that were made from the 13th of July until the 21st of July.
