2019 Ram 1500: EPA Holding It Back

By  |

The 2019 RAM 1500 went into production a few months ago which means we should be seeing it soon but according to Automotive News, we might have to wait a little longer as EPA is still holding the vehicle back.

According to the report, EPA has only given the green light for two of its variants, the 5.7 liter V8 model with rear wheel drive and also the 5.7 liter V8 model with four-wheel drive.

There is still the 3.6-liter V6 engine as well as a mild-hybrid 5.7 liter V8 engine model that EPA has not approved yet. Some people think that the recent diesel scandal might have made it harder for the Ram 1500. Others think that it is FCA that is holding the vehicle back.

The slow rollout has been affecting the sales of the pickup and things will only go from bad to worst if FCA can’t get the other variants out as soon as possible.
