2019 Nissan Leaf E-Plus: Should Have Started Out This Way

By  |

Despite everything that the Nissan Leaf has to offer now, it is just not catching the eyes of the consumer mainly because of its range. Compared to its competitors, the Leaf is definitely struggling to keep up when it comes to its range but that could change soon.

There were already talks about Nissan working on a long-range Leaf and now Nissan has released a little more detail about the upcoming Leaf. According to Autoguide, the new long-range model will be called the Nissan Leaf E-Plus and it will be coming in as a 2019 model.

It was added that the vehicle would be powered by an electric motor that would be offering about 200hp which is 53hp more than the standard Leaf. The huge performance leap would not only help make the Leaf more interesting to drive but it would also increase the range of the vehicle to 200miles which is 49miles more than the current standard model.

As nice as this sounds, the fans can’t help but feel that Nissan should have just offered this from the start.
