2019 Nissan Altima: What We Know Now

By  |

The 2019 Nissan Altima will be announced at the New York Auto Show but before that happens, let’s look at what we know about the Nissan Altima right now.

The new Nissan Altima design will be based on the Vmotion 2.0 concept that Nissan showed off last year. Seeing as the current design has been around for about 6 years now, we can’t wait to see the Altima in its new skin.

The major changes on the outside will include the V-Shaped grille along with the new LED headlights. Overall, the 2019 model will be longer which means there will be more legroom for the back passengers now. Nissan also made a few important changes to the interior including giving it a new tablet-like display for the infotainment system. Better materials will be chosen for the interior as well.

Under the hood should be a 2.5 liter four cylinder engine that will be offering about 182hp. The older V6 will now be replaced by the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that will offer about 268hp. A hybrid option might be added in the future.
