2019 Mercedes G-Class: Better Than Ever

By  |

After years of offering the G-Class with the same design, Mercedes is finally ready to give it an upgrade. The new 2019 Mercedes G-Class made its debut at the North American International Auto Show earlier this year so we do know what is coming our way.

According to Mercedes, the 2019 model will be built “predominantly by hand” and that it is still a G but “Better”. While the vehicle will be getting a new design, it is clear that they still wanted the G-Class to be recognizable. It will be larger, longer and wider now.

Besides upgrading the exterior, the interior will also be fitted with new techs and features including the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Features like the Nappa leather and heating seats will be offered as optional features.

The Mercedes Benz G-Class will be powered by a 4.0-liter twin turbo V8 engine that will be offering about 416hp and 450lb ft of torque. The engine will come mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission.

Production has started in Austria so we should be seeing it soon.
