2019 Kia Niro EV Range Nowhere New Concept Version

By  |

We got to see the Kia Niro EV at CES this year. At that time, the concept was fitted with a 64kWh battery pack and had a range of 238miles. Although the production version will come with the same battery pack, the range will be nowhere near what the concept was offering at CES.

According to Kia, the 2019 Kia Niro EV would be able to offer about 280miles of range when it arrives. Way more than what the concept was able to offer on the WLTP cycle.

Kia will be offering two battery options. Besides the 64kWh battery, there will also be a 39.3kWh battery that will offer 236miles although most people believe that the lower battery capacity model will not make it to the US.

There is still a lot that we do not know about the Kia Niro EV right now like the engine output, interior design and more but we should learn more about it when the Kia Niro EV makes its debut at the Paris Auto Show.
