2019 Jeep Wrangler Can’t Keep It Together

By  |

FCA will have to issue a recall to bring back their 2019 and 2018 Jeep Wrangler after it was discovered that a faulty weld could cause parts of the Wrangler to fall off from the frame.

According to FCA, a weld was supported to hold the track bar bracket to the frame but that weld could fail which could cause the bracket from separating from the frame. The recall will affect 18,000 units of vehicles.

Owners of the Wrangler have been talking about the poor welds for months now so it is nice to hear that Jeep will finally be doing something about that.

According to one owner, he lost control of the steering wheel mid-drive and had to pull over on the shoulder of the road and get his Wrangler towed. It was later discovered that the track car had been completely detached because of the poor welding. We are not sure how FCA plans to fix this but at least they are going to do something about it now.
