2019 Hyundai Santa Fe Too Close To CX9?

By  |

The 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe was given a much need upgrade and while we like what Hyundai did to the 2019 model, some people feel like the Santa Fe might not get the attention it needs as it is set to close to the Mazda CX-9.

The Santa Fe was given an exterior upgrade that not only refreshed it looks but also makes it a little more practical as the larger side windows offer more visibility for the passengers. The vehicle was given a squarish tail as well which means huge cargo space.

The vehicle will come with five trim options, SE, SEL, SEL Plus, Limited and Ultimate. The standard model will be powered with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that will be delivering about 185hp and 178lb ft of torque. The Limited and Ultimate model will also be offered the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that will be offering about 235hp and 260lb ft of torque.

As much as we like that the vehicle has to offer, some people are saying that the price brings the Santa Fe too close to the Mazda CX-9 and that people would ultimately go for that instead of the Santa Fe. What do you think?
