2019 Honda Pilot Headlight Did Not Get In The Way

It looks like it is getting more difficult for crossovers and SUVs to get the IIHS Safety Pick+ rating because of their headlights but it looks like Honda has nothing to fear as their Honda Pilot was given the top safety rating from IIHS.

To earn the rating from IIHS, the vehicle will need to have at least a “Good” rating for their driver-side small overlap front, moderate overlap front, side, roof strength and head restraint test with a minimum of “Acceptable” for the passenger side small overall test as well.

On top of that, the vehicle will need to be rated “Advanced” or “Superior” for its front crash prevention system and of course a “Good” or higher for the headlights and this is where a lot of the crossovers and SUVs have been struggling.

The Pilot is fitted with a crash prevention system which will come as a standard feature. The LED reflector headlights with high-beam assist visibility is also good enough to get it a “Good rating.
