Although talks about the 2019 Ford Ranger has been going on for some time now, a lot of the details were kept away from the public until now. Here are of the new details.

The Ford Ranger will be coming in with a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine fitted under the hood. The engine will be returning about 270hp and 310lb ft of torque which will put it below the Tacoma and Colorado in terms of power but above them when it comes to torque.

It was also revealed that the Ford Ranger will now have a maximum payload of 1860 points which is pretty impressive. It also has a towing capacity of 7500 points with the towing package and trailer brake controller. We know that the gasoline Chevrolet Colorado only has a towing rating of 7000 pounds while the Toyota Tacoma offers about 6700pounds of towing ratings.

The 2019 Ford Ranger production will begin later this year.
