2019 Chevrolet Silverado & GMC Sierra Diesel Specs Leaked?

By  |

We already knew that the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra Diesel will both be powered by the new 3.0 liter Duramax turbodiesel six-cylinder engine but nobody knew how much the engine will be offering until now.

According to TFLtruck, the new diesel engine that GM will be offering will produce about 2682hp and 450lb ft of torque when it arrives. This information was said to have come from GM Canada’s dealer website.

If that is true, that also means that the GM trucks will outperform popular trucks like the Ford F-150 which offers about 250hp and 440lb ft of torque right now. This is not that surprising as GM have been hinting that for some time now but we actually have the numbers now.

It was also reported that the Sierra will be able to return about 28mpg on the highway which is similar to what the Ford F-150 is returning right now.

Of course, we do not know if these numbers are real or not so take it all with a pinch of salt.
