With more and more automakers opting to release their new models without a manual transmission, those looking to drive a stick car has way less option now. The list is about to get even shorter now that Chevrolet has announced that the 2019 Chevrolet Cruze is going to come without a manual transmission option.

According to Chevrolet, the manual transmission will not be offered on the 2019 model. Chevrolet will keep the current automatic transmission around for all the models while the manual will be removed.

The good news is that the diesel engine option will still be offered. The 2019 Cruze will also be getting a new LS trim. The new trim will only be offered for the hatchback model and it will be coming in with a smaller price tag compared to the previous base hatchback price.

All models will also be fitted with the automatic climate control and remote start now.
