With smartphones manufacturer like Vivo already offering devices that will come with an in-display fingerprint scanner, you would think that Apple would be rushing to offer it on their new iPhones as well but according to Ming-Chi Kuo, that is not going to happen.

It was reported that instead of focusing on the in display fingerprint scanner, Apple will focus on their True Depth Camera system which will us Face ID. It is said the new iPhone XS Face ID will be more refine and could even come with the option of adding a second face.

While the Face ID was a nice addition to the current device, it is far from perfect as it was pointed out that tech still has issues when it comes to identifying faces with glasses or when the person is lying down.

Besides Vivo, OnePlus could also be offering the in-display fingerprint scanner on their upcoming 6T. Do you think Apple will be missing out?
