2019 Apple iPhone: Rear Facing 3D Sensor Coming?

By  |

We only had a small taste of what the Apple iPhone 3D Sensor can do this year and we are sure Apple will be working on it to make sure it has more to offer in the future.

According to the latest report, Apple is working on some interesting stuff with their 3D sensors and that we might be able to see it in 2019. Bloomberg reported that Apple is looking to offer it on their 2019 iPhone and that they have already been talking to companies like Sony, Panasonic, STMicroelectronics, Infineon Technology and more but we still do not know who will be working on what.

If Apple does offer a 3D sensor in the back, don’t expect it to work like the TrueDepth feature on the iPhone 8 as it will be a very different feature and will most likely be built by a different supplier as well.
