2018 Subaru WRX STi Shows Why We Don’t Need A Hatchback

Sporting hatchbacks are becoming firm favourites and there is no sign that they are slowing down. They keep on getting quicker with each generation and the Ford Focus RS, Volkswagen Golf R and Honda Civic Type-R are all testament to this fact. However the 2018 Subaru WRX STi shows us why we don’t need a hatchback.

The Subaru WRX STi is contesting the sports hatchback, if we had the vehicle in a sports hatch it would perhaps have made for a more entertaining competition and this is something that many people have said they would like to see.

We on the other hand think that the Subaru WRX STi is fine as it is without it being a hatchback. The WRX STi took on a hatchback shape before but the sales didn’t turn out as good as the sports sedan.

A sporting hatchback version of the Subaru WRX STi isn’t really needed unless there is great potential pointing to success for the idea. But what do you think, do we need a hatchback version of it?
