2018 Subaru Crosstrek Shares It All With Impreza

By  |

We have heard that the upcoming 2018 Subaru Crosstrek is going to share everything with the Impreza and the Crosstrek is going to arrive at the Geneva Auto Show and be lighter.

The 2018 Subaru Crosstrek will have the base of the 2017 Impreza and it is going to offer up better ground clearance and have looks that are more rugged, with add-ons such as rocker panels and black plastic trims set over the wheel arches. We have been given something of a tease about the vehicle on the website of Subaru.

The new platform is said to underpin several models that are going to arrive in the years to come and which are going to make the vehicles from Subaru lighter, more efficient and better to drive. It has been said that EyeSight technology is going to be offered for more cost on some of the trim levels.

The 2018 Subaru Crosstrek is going to be mechanically the same as the Impreza and so we are expecting to see a 2 litre flat four engine that will offer up 152 horses along with 145 torque. Buyers will be able to choose from the manual or CVT transmission and it will come with all-wheel drive fitted as standard.

We are expecting to see the Subaru Crosstrek come our way with the European specs in March, while details about the one heading to the US haven’t been revealed.
