Nissan announces that they will be offering their automatic emergency braking system as standard features on a few more of their 2018 models. They added that an estimated 1 million 2018 Nissan models will come with the AEB system.

According to Nissan, models that will be getting the new safety features as standard features includes the Nissan Rogue, Nissan Altima, Nissan Murano and four more models.

The automatic emergency braking system will help keep the driver and passenger safe by monitoring the vehicle’s proximity to the vehicle in front using radar technology. If it feels that the vehicles are getting too close, it will warn the driver with audio and visual display.

According to some research, the existence of the AED system should help reduce up to 87% of death and injuries caused by rear-end collision as drivers are forced to pay attention when things start to get dangerous.
