2018 Kia Niro EV: More Potential Than Ioniq Electric

By  |

The 2018 Kia Niro EV has been revealed and is making its way out next year. The Niro is an SUV variation of the Ioniq Electric and as SUVs are the in-thing at the moment, it should sell better than the Ioniq.

The 2018 Kia Niro EV is going to be made available in three different configurations and this is going to include an all-electric version. The production of the plug-in hybrid will start next month and it was revealed that the vehicle is going to arrive in 2018.

We are expecting the Kia Niro EV to offer up the same electric motor that has been used in the Hyundai Ioniq, along with a 28kWh lithium-ion battery. The vehicle will have a range of 124 miles from a single charge. Hyundai has already said that they are going to offer an EV next year that will offer up a range of more than 200 miles.

The Kia Niro PHEV is making its way out with a range of 26 miles on electric and the plug-in should arrive in the US during October or November.
