2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited: Taking Mini Steps
With all the talks about the new 2018 Jeep Wrangler coming with a much lighter body and a more aerodynamic shape, you would think that the vehicle will be a lot more fuel efficient now but based on the numbers released by EPA, the 2018 Jeep Wrangler will only be slightly more fuel efficient than the current model.
According to EPA, the 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with its 3.6 liter V6 and six-speed manual transmission will only be offering about 17mpg in the city and 23mpg on the highway. The current Wrangler offers about 16mpg in the city and 21mpg on the highway.
The auto transmission model will return about 18mpg in the city and 23mpg on the highway. Of course, it is still an improvement but it is definitely not the huge jump we were expecting.
We are still waiting for EPA to release the results for the four-cylinder model.
