2018 Jeep Wrangler Looking To Replace Recalled Models?

Jeep is preparing to issue a recall for some of their 2019 and 2018 Jeep Wrangler after it was reported that the track bar mounts on some of their Wrangler would shear off when it is welded to the frame.

Because this may also affect models that are on the dealers’ lots, Jeep has also issued a stop sale notice. According to Jeep, no accidents related to the issue has been reported so far but they but they will be inspecting about 18,000 units of their Wrangler. They believe that only 720 units will be affected.

NHTSA has not posted the recall on their website yet but according to one of the Wrangler owner who posted a video of the track bar mounts completely being sheared away from the vehicle, Jeep had offered to replace his Wrangler instead of fixing it. We are not sure if this will be the solution for all affected models so we will have to wait and see.

This is not the first recall the 2018 Jeep Wrangler had as well as the vehicle have a total of five recalls now.
