2018 Jeep Wrangler Force To Choose Fans Over Future

By  |

The Jeep Wrangler has been wearing the same design for years now so when it was announced that the upcoming Jeep Wrangler was going to be an all-new model, we were all expecting it to come with a brand new design.

As scary as that is, most of us were ready to see what the future of Jeep Wrangler will look like but from the looks of the test mules, it looks like Jeep caved and decided not to risk angering the fans after all.

It was initially reported that the Jeep Wrangler would be coming in with a new exterior design that includes a longer hood and steeper windshield for better aerodynamics but the new spy shots reveal that the 2018 Jeep Wrangler might actually come with the same design.

Of course, the vehicle was heavily covered there might still be some secrets underneath the camo tarps but the shape is very similar to the shape of the current Jeep Wrangler. The spies also managed to confirm that the Jeep Wrangler will be fitted with a backup camera now.

We do not know what the new Wrangler will be offering but the current Wrangler is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 engine that will be offering about 285hp. The engine will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission. A five-speed auto transmission will be offered as an option as well. The Wrangler will return about 17mpg in the city and 21mpg on the highway and has a top speed of 109mph.

Would you be disappointed if the Wrangler comes with the same design?
