2018 Honda Odyssey Refuses AWD But There’s Good Reason

Vehicles such as the Toyota Sienna and the Chrysler Pacifica are both heading down the all-wheel drive road but Honda, with the 2017 Honda Odyssey, has refused to go the same way. However they did say that they have good reason for doing so.

The 2018 Honda Odyssey is going to remain with two-wheel drive and they chose to do this to make the vehicle functional. Honda said that if they were to give it all-wheel drive they would need to raise it and this would then have an impact on the cabin of the Odyssey and this was something that they don’t want to do.

The Honda Odyssey has always offered a cabin that has been spacious along with functional and if they were to reduced it, it wouldn’t make sense. Honda said that if anyone wanted a lifted minivan they might want to check out the Honda Pilot instead.

But what do you think; would you have given up some space in the cabin to have all-wheel drive?
