2018 Honda CR-V: RAV4 Still Not Feeling The Heat

By  |

The Europe market was given the new Honda CR-V not too long ago. Despite all the upgrades that the vehicle is going to get this year, it looks like the RAV4’s position is still as secure as ever.

The 2018 Honda CR-V will be arriving in Europe with a new design. Under the hood is a 1.5-liter VTEC petrol engine that will be mated to a manual transmission. There is also a CVT option for those that don’t want to drive a stick. The engine will have an output of 170hp and 162lb ft of torque.

According to Honda, the Honda CR-V will only need 9.2 seconds to go from 0-62mph with a top speed of 130mph. There is no talk about a diesel option but Honda might add in a hybrid engine option in the near future.

Honda Sensing will be included as a standard feature this time around which probably played a role in the CR-V getting the five-star rating from Euro NCAP. With everything that it has to offer, the Honda CR-V would do great but some people are still saying that they would choose the Toyota RAV4 over the CR-V. Would you?
