2018 Honda CR-V: RAV4 Not Worried At All

By  |

With everything that the 2018 Honda CR-V has to offer, you would think that it would be more of a threat to the Toyota RAV4 but from what the consumers are saying, it looks like the RAV4’s position is still pretty secure.

Honda released the Honda CR-V in Europe. The vehicle will come powered by a 1.5 litre VTEC petrol engine that will be mated to a CVT or a manual transmission. The manual transmission will only be offered on the front-wheel drive option. The Honda CR-V will now offer about 170hp and 162lb ft of torque and will need about 9.2 seconds to go from 0-62mph with a top speed of 130mph.

There were also talks about Honda possibly offering a new hybrid engine or maybe a diesel engine in the near future. As for the Honda Sensing, it will be offered as a standard feature. In terms of safety, the Honda CR-V was given a five-star rating by Euro NCAP safety assessment.

Even with all that, the consumers seem to think that the Toyota RAV4 is the better option here.
