The 2018 Honda Civic Type-R and the Ford Focus RS are two vehicles that people really want to see go up against each other, with the former having recently made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show.
The Honda Civic Type-R offers up 316 horses along with 295 torque and it comes with front-wheel drive. The 2017 Ford Focus RS offers all-wheel drive and 350 horses along with 350 torque.
The Civic comes with three driving mode settings, Comfort, Sport and +R, while the Focus RS offers Normal, Sport, Track and Drift. The Civic offers a structure that is 38% stiffer and it comes with multi-link rear suspension, which replaces the torsion beam and it offers a lower driving position. The Ford Focus RS comes with driver selectable suspension settings.
The Honda Civic Type-R looks stunning thanks to the huge wing and bumper at the back. The Ford Focus RS comes with a rear spoiler that is mounted high. The hatchback comes with a unique RS Sport exhaust complete with dual bright tips.
The price tag of the 2017 Ford Focus RS and the Honda Civic Type-R is $36, 500, so you cannot choose based on price. But which of the two would you choose and which do you think would come out on top?
