The Honda Civic Diesel is great but then again, are you ready to let go of the turbo petrol engine and are you willing to pay a little more to have the diesel-powered model?
After the diesel scandal, most automakers are trying to avoid offering diesel engines but Honda went against that and added a diesel model to their current line up. The Honda Civic Diesel will be powered by a 1.6-liter i-DTEC engine.
According to Honda, the diesel engine would be able to offer about 80mpg with 93g/km of CO2 emission which is better than what the petrol model is offering. It also has a punchier drive but then again, it is also loud and rattly, unlike the petrol engine.
Customers also need to bear in mind that the diesel-powered Honda Civic will cost you more than the SR-version. At the end of the day, do you think it is worth it?
