2018 Honda Accord Gets Ready To Step On Toes Of CR-V and Civic

The 2018 Honda Accord is coming closer and when it arrives it will step on the toes of the Honda Civic and CR-V and all three are going to offer up the identical platform and perhaps the same turbocharged engine by way of the 1.5 litre.

When the Honda Accord does arrive with the new turbocharged engine Honda may do away with the 3.5 litre V6 non-turbocharged. Honda has been working on the turbocharged 4 cylinder but this is not to the taste of some fans of the vehicle. Many would still like the option to have the older engine.

While there isn’t anything drastically wrong with a turbocharged engine, the old one did give the vehicle road performance that was superb and the vehicle is comfortable and offers up active safety features. The downside to the 4 cylinder turbocharged engines is that they are noisy when they start and of course they don’t have that cool sound that the V6 engine is known for offering.

We only hope that Honda chooses to offer up both the engines on the new 2018 Honda Accord.
