2018 Honda Accord Future Decided By Civic and CR-V

With the kind of success Honda has been having with the Honda Civic and Honda CR-V, it does not surprise us that they would use both those models as inspiration for the upcoming 2018 Honda Accord.

We know that the Honda Accord will be coming in with a new design that is based on the Honda Civic. That is not all, the Honda Accord will also be getting the same engine and platform. Both the engine and platform can also be found on the Honda CR-V as well.

It is believed that the arrival of the 1.5-liter turbocharged engine would spell the end for the 3.5-liter V6 engine but we will have to wait and see if that happens. Thanks to all the upgrade given to the Honda Civic, the Honda Accord is forced to get the same kind of upgrade as well including getting a bigger body.

While that means more interior space on the inside, the consumers also pointed out that the wider body will make the Accord a little too bulky.

The current Honda Accord comes with a 2.4 liter four engine that will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission and will be delivering about 185hp. There is also a 3.5-liter V6 engine that will be mated to a six-speed automatic transmission and will be offering about 278hp.

The top of the range V6 model will need 5.6 seconds to go from 0-60mph and has a top speed of 127mph. The vehicle will also return about 21mpg in the city and 32mpg on the highway.
