2018 Ford Mustang: Fans A Little Wary Now

By  |

Ford will have to bring their A-game when it comes to the 2018 Ford Mustang. With Dodge and Chevrolet going all out with their muscle car, the Ford Mustang will have to be pretty impressive if they want to stand out.

Luckily for us all, Ford was ready for it. While we are still waiting for them to release the vehicle, there are already reports revealing what the Mustang will come in with.

According to the reports, the 2018 Ford Mustang will be getting the new 10-speed auto transmission along with the Magnetic ride from the GT350. We will also see the new active valve exhaust and a new digital gauge cluster. As exciting as that sounds, some fans are still not buying it.

Some consumers are saying that while they like the upgrades that are coming, they do not think that the upgrades are game-changing or revolutionary. Fans were hoping to see something more exciting but it looks like that won’t be happening on the 2018 model.

Of course, with all these upgrades happening, some people are also expecting the price of the Ford Mustang to go up and they are saying that they don’t think the new upgrades are worth paying more for.

The current Ford Mustang base model comes with a 3.7 liter V6 300hp engine. There is also a 2.3-liter turbo four cylinder option as well as a 5.0 liter V8 engine option. Customers can choose from a six-speed manual or auto transmission.

The V8 model will return about 15mpg in the city and 25mpg on the highway and it will need 4.3 seconds to go from 0-60mph.
